Zakat ul Fitrah Rate 1442AH

We write to update you that the Jamaat will be accepting Zakat Al-Fitrah which will then be remitted to our umbrella body, The Council of European Jamaats (CoEJ), before Friday morning (which is the expected day of Eid ul Fitr).

As Zakat Al-Fitrah becomes obligatory at the sunset on the eve of Eid al Fitr and is payable before Eid prayers, we are arranging to collect the Zakat, which is set at £5 per head, before the Eid day to ensure the Zakat is distributed in time for Eid al Fitr.

Anyone wishing to pay Zakat Al-Fitrah through our platform is kindly requested to transfer the appropriate funds to the Jamaat Bank Account state below with a clear reference on the payment as ‘Fitr’ to enable us to allocate the funds correctly.

We shall keep the collection open until Thursday (13/05) morning where the collected sums will be transferred to CoEJ for distribution. For all those who will be transferring their and their dependants Zakat Al-Fitrah, you are kindly requested to make your niyyah for the advance transfer on the morning of Eid al Fitr, before Eid prayers based on obligatory precaution. Further details on Zakat Al-Fitrah rules can be referred to Islamic Laws by Syed Ali Al-Hussayni Seestani from rule number 2003 onwards.

The details for bank transfer are as follows:

Account number: 00613571

We continue to pray for your safety and wellbeing during these last days of the blessed month.
