Visit My Mosque Open Day – 5th February 2017

The Muslim Council of Britain invite all mosques to partake in an annual Visit My Mosque event. We intend to take part next year on 5th February 2017 as we have done for the last two years. We are looking for volunteers to help with the day. There will be a range of tasks we will need help with

On Friday, 2nd September, 2016, it can easily be seen with the unaided eye in Central, East and South Africa, as well as South and Central America. On Saturday, 3rd September, 2016, it can easily be seen with the unaided eye in Europe and the rest of the world

For the Muqallideen of Ayatullah ul Uzama Syed Sistani (May Allah Protect him) expect 1st Dhul Qa’dah, 1437AH, to be on Friday, 5th August, 2016.

For Mu’mineen who are “Baaqee” on Marhum Ayatullah Al-Khoe (May Allah Elevate his status), EXPECT 1st Dhul Qa’dah, 1437AH, to be on Thursday, 4th August, 2016.

Ramadhan 2016 – Fitra and Fidya

According to the Shariah, Fitra becomes incumbent when the new moon of Shawwal is sighted. This is known as Zakat of Fitra, which is Wajib on every Baligh person.
If you have a guest with you, who has arrived at your house before sunset on the eve of Eid ul Fitr, then his/her Fitra is WAJIB upon you.
